1、against用在fight，strive，struggle等词后面，与with的意思一样，但是against更强调一种困难中的反抗，例如：We fight for the weak against the strong我们为弱者而战，反对强者。2、against表示反对的意思时，其反义词是for。3、作为介词时，against后面接的宾语有时可省略。例如：We have saved some money against our old age.我们存了一些钱，以备老年之用。
